Dubai, UAE-based BinHendi Enterprises LLC recently unveiled the new jewellery collection from its principal, New York-based Jacob & Co. The new assortment was launched at a press briefing launched at the prestigious Burj Al Arab in Dubai jointly by Jacob Arabo, Founder & CEO, Jacob & Co. and Mohi-Din BinHendi, President, BinHendi Enterprises. The new collection comprises rare cuts and colours and fanciful rose-cut, heart-shaped and cushion-shaped diamonds as well as the much sought-after square emerald cut stones with brilliant step facets. Heart-throb Lebanese diva Haifa Wehbe also attended and performed at the celebrations.
A new limited-edition watch collection, the ‘Manhattan’ was also released on this occasion. Jacob & Co. will reveal at a later stage, other limited editions from this model for Kuwait, Dubai, Moscow and Paris.
Additionally, a new Jacob & Co. Chronograph powered by a special, in-house developed movement will be launched at the upcoming Baselworld 2008 alongside new elegant and exquisite watches for both men and ladies.
An announcement was also made with regard to the proposed opening of the first 1,200 sq. ft. Jacob & Co. boutique in the Middle East at the Dubai Mall in 2009. More boutiques are also expected to be opened in Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, BinHendi Enterprises has launched the first edition (Winter 2007) of BinHendi Magazine. The multi-product, luxury lifestyle products conglomerate whose interests include high fashion, top-end jewellery & premium watches among others was founded by Mohi-Din A. BinHendi over three decades ago. According to Amna BinHendi, CEO, “the magazine will be a way for the Group to share fascinating background on our established brands and spread the word’.
