The India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) commemorated its Silver Jubilee celebrations with the 2008 Edition to be staged in the country’s commercial capital Mumbai from 7 to 11 August 2008. The Spectrum Seminars have traditionally been the intellectual cornerstone of serious insights and new perspectives on the industry. 17 stimulating seminars were held this year and the topics covered a very wide range of subjects from Updates on ‘Identification of Treated & Synthetic Diamonds’ and ‘Improving profit—Gold Loan and Hedging’ to ‘Essentials for Retailers by GIA’ (Gemmological Institute of America) and ‘Changing Purchase Patterns of End Consumers’. Over 50 local, regional and international industry experts participated in the ‘Spectrum Seminars’.
