The 18th Edition of Jewellery Arabia 2009, the best-known, most prestigious and long-running among the Middle East watch & jewellery industry trade exhibitions, will be officially inaugurated at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre on Tuesday, 17 November 2009 by its long-time Patron HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Over 600 exhibitors from 30 countries, including such venerated international brands as Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Chopard, De Beers, Graff, Harry Winston, Hublot, Patek Philippe & Piaget, will participate in this five-day exhibition occupying a total floor area of 18,000 sq. m. To cater to the high demand of space, the show organizers have commissioned two temporary halls to extend existing facilities for the fourth year in a row. There are international country pavilions from Brazil, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and Thailand and large contingents from the GCC and Lebanon.

Despite the current economic climate, Jewellery Arabia 2009 is sold out to capacity. The international watch & jewellery industry is looking to the Middle East for growth and the exhibition is a proven trade gateway to this important economic sector, said Fawzi Al Shehabi, Director of Sales & Marketing, Arabian Exhibition Management, organizers of Jewellery Arabia 2009. The exhibition concludes on Saturday, 21 November 2009.
