The 41st Edition of the veteran and immensely successful Bangkok Gems & Jewellery Fair (BGJF) will commence at the newly constructed Impact Challenger Exhibition Centre in the Thai capital on Wednesday, 27 February 2008. Organized by the Thai Gem & Jewellery Traders Association (TGJTA), the 5-day, 100,000 sq. m. Exhibition is expected to draw tens of thousands of visitors from across the Asia Pacific Far East, ASEAN, the South Asian subcontinent and from around the world.
In recent years the BGJF has gained stature and has now acquired a rock-solid reputation for being the purveyor and the primary source of coloured gemstones and an assortment of precious stones. The number of exhibitors is estimated at 1,500 from 35 countries occupying 3,500 booths. Following the strong debut of TGJTA’s Online sourcing Project (OSP), the organizers have more than doubled the available space to accommodate over 200 B2B sessions throughout the duration of the Exhibition. The TGJTA instituted the business matching facility, e-Appointment programme, for buyers to pre-register by simply logging in to www.bangkokgemsfair.com, then clicking at the OSP web banner and filling out the requirements.
