Montblanc International has opened one of their two grandest flagship boutiques in the world in the heart of Paris haute joaillerie district. The two-storey, 1640 sq. ft. flagship on Rue de la Paix, is a short distance away from the iconic Place Vendome and is one of the fifteen 4810 international boutiques which offers exclusive collections, bespoke pieces, limited editions, precious and rare one-of-a-kind pieces primarily in high jewellery, watch making and writing instruments. Meanwhile, Montblanc has released the Mahatma Gandhi Limited Edition on the eve of the great Indian leaders 140th birth anniversary on 2 October 2009. The surface is white lacquered reflecting cotton texture with 925 sterling silver mountings on cap and cone and a saffron-coloured mandarin garnet on the clip. It is handcrafted in 18-carat solid gold and has a rhodium-plated nib finely engraved with Gandhijis image.
