In a pioneering move, the First Arabian Watches & Jewellery (AWJ) Roundtable Discussions, held at Dubai’s Emirates Towers Hotel on Thursday, 8 December 2005, brought together a representative cross-section of top-drawer industry professionals to deliberate on three pre-determined topics of interest to the trade. To this end, Arabian Watches & Jewellery Magazine empanelled a group of 12 senior industry officials who were especially invited for a two-hour round-the-table discussions on a trio of subjects as follows—Special Orders, Branded Jewellery and Marketing of the Brand. The discussions were moderated by Moaz Barakat, the UAE-based Managing Director, World Gold Council for the Middle East, Turkey & Pakistan.This Open Forum is part of AWJ’s continuing endeavour to bring together all constituents of the industry—corporate institutions, principals, manufacturers, agents, retailers, advertising industry, watch-makers and publication personnel to discuss crucial issues of mutual interest on a periodic basis. In convening this forum, AWJ believes it will add value to the editorial input in the magazine and provide readers with the thinking patterns of those involved in senior positions in this industry.

MPP Arabia was represented by Nader Freiha.
