The House of Cartier hosted a cocktail reception last Wednesday evening inviting top officials and VIPs to the inauguration of its new boutique in Bahrain which occupies a spacious 300 m2 in the heart of Bahrains most prestigious malls, Moda Mall. The boutique bears the signature of Bruno Moinard, the architect designer responsible for all Cartier boutiques around the world.

The opening ceremony was conducted in the attendance of H.E. Sheikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Culture and Information of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and was presided over by Mr. Bernard Fornas, President  & CEO of Cartier International, Mr. Louis Ferla, Managing Director of Cartier Middle East and Mr. Mohammed Jaffar, CEO of Asia Jewellers.

Following the official ribbon cutting, Cartier revealed its rich history with the Kingdom through a unique photo exhibition, displayed in a Giant Red Box at the mall atrium. Cartiers longstanding relationship with the country began in 1911 when Jacques Cartier traveled to the Persian Gulf in search of fine pearls and stopped over in Bahrain for a prosperous visit with the Sheikhs.
