Independent watchmakers of the illustrious Academie Horlogere des Createurs Independants (AHCI) or the Horology Academy of Independent Watchmakers, have announced their decision to participate in Japan’s first and only watch trade show, the First Tokyo International Watch Fair to be held at the Tokyo Big Sight from 21 to 24 January 2009. 32 watch makers including Vianney Halter and Thomas Prescher (both from Switzerland) and Aniceto Pita (Spain) and Aaaron Becsei (Hungary) are expected to attend.
TWF will be held concurrently alongside International Jewellery Tokyo (IJT), the largest jewellery show in Japan. The show, organized by Reed Exhibitions, will welcome 1,720 exhibitors from 35 countries around the world.
