India International Jewellery Show (IIJS), the Indian subcontinent’s biggest, most prestigious, best attended & long established jewellery trade exhibition will hold its Silver Jubilee 2008 Edition at the sprawling Mumbai Exhibition Centre. Organized by the influential, 1966-established, 6,500-member, industry apex body The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the Show will be held from 7 to 11 August 2008. “We hope to welcome trade professionals and guests to a truly outstanding IIJS this year on this auspicious anniversary,” stated Sanjay A. Kothari, Chairman, GJEPC.
The IIJS 2007 Edition registered transactions of USD $ 750.0 million and attracted over 40,000 official visitors. IIJS 2008 is currently holding road shows to publicize its Silver Jubilee anniversary in over 90 cities in India and in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, USA, Iran, The Far East and China. Around 30,000 official trade visitors are expected to attend IIJS 2008 which will host 750 exhibitors—including 500 from India and 250 from overseas.
